specifically for the bucket style seat pan (Shown
above is the McArthur Seat) used in Warbirds, such
as the CJ, Yaks, L-29, PT-17,SN-J, T-6, Harvard,
T-34, T-28, P-51 and many others.
Measurements 16-1/2" Side to Side x 14" Front to
back x @ 8" thick. The pack and Back Cushion
and the 4" Seat Cushion ("Astronaut
Foam" )
combination are shaped to fit fully in the seat to
provide a large, stable, comfortable base for the
pilot to sit. 26' Mid-Lite Standard.

The
Model 304 w/ 26Ft container measures 12" Front to Back x 16"Side
to Side x 3" Thick & Backpad 1/2". By using an
additional Astronaut Foam cushion the thickness of the
pack may be from 3" to 6" thick depending on the type of
airplane and how high the user desires to be in the
cockpit.
Add the
Optional Static Line for only $45.00
The
back pad is only a 1/2" thick, and uses Astronaut Foam
padding.
The 304 Seat with the
28Ft C-9 measurements are: 17"
wide, 14" front to back, and 5" thick, Total weight 20
Lbs
The
Para-Cushion Seat is
recommended for use in airplanes where head room is
not restricted and (or) moving forward in the cockpit is
not an option such as a Sky Bolt, a Yak 52 (both
seats), Yak 55, Stearman, Great Lakes, Pitts S 2B (front
seat), & Decathlon type aircraft, and the
rear and front seat (depending on body size) of an
RV-4.
The Model
304 parachute assembly (Seen here with the 3-point
harness on the left & the Aerobatic Harness on the
bottom photo) is designed specifically for emergency use
by sport aviators flying aircraft utilizing a seat pan.
The
parachute container: Seat & Back Cushion uses
"Astronaut Foam" , as well as the
Optional "Travel Cushion".
Because the back pad is only less than 1/2 inch
(1 cm) thick of
"Astronaut Foam", the system is especially suited to
aircraft with restricted stick or rudder travel, it
replaces your present seat cushion, and when head room
is not restricted, such as Stearman, Pitts
S1/S2,Great Lakes, Citabria, Casa.
Rated at
254+ lbs at 150Knts (180 MPH), The Strong is the
toughest chute on the market. The complete system
weighs approximately 15-18 lbs. (6.5 kg.). A zip-on 4"
(7 cm)
"Astronaut Foam" padded Travel Cushion is an
optional accessory.

The
standard back mounted container, model 303 is 24" tall x 16"
wide x 3" thick, . and weighs approximately 15 lb. The
Para-Cushion Back is
recommended for use in airplanes where head room is at a
minimum such as an
ASW-27, PW-5,
Cap-10, Zlin, T-34, T-28, Christen Eagle, Grob, and the
front seat RV-4.and
many others. In many cases it is possible to replace the
airplane back cushion with the Strong Para-Cushion Back
Parachute System. Other Para-Cushion Back models are
available in different sizes to accommodate a smaller space,
such as in the cockpit of an SU-31. The Short Back, the
Narrow Back and the Short and Narrow back.
The Model 303
parachute assembly (Now Available with the
Aerobatic Harness) is our most popular model and is used
by Warbird, sail plane and aerobatic pilots.

The Model
305 is truly a chair-parachute, covering the back of the
body from shoulders to just above the knees. The
patented chair-type container conforms to the curve of
your back. There is no part of the parachute packed in
the seat portion, this is a Model 303 with a cushion
built on. It is especially popular among sail plane
pilots flying for hours in the supine (reclined)
position, it is literally a "couch cushion" beneath the
pilot. It is Measurements 42" (105 cm) long by 16" (40
cm) wide and varies from 3" to less than 1" (6.5 to 2.5
cm) thick, designed specifically for use where space is
minimal. Aircraft that this type is
recommended
use this
chute: Libelle H-201 H201B,
Grob,
Giles 202, and rear seat of an Extra. The complete

Our model 311 is
recommended
for use in airplanes where headroom is at a
minimum and the backrest is at a straight
upright angle with the seat bottom, such as a
Pitts S1, Pitts Model 12, Christen Eagle, RV-4,
RV-6, Harmon Rocket, and many others.
Measuring 24" tall by 16" wide by 1" thin at the
shoulders and 3" thick at the lower back, this
is a very special back mounted container.
The unique configuration of our Para-Cushion
Back 311 allows for maximum comfort of the pilot
by using the special wedge shape of the
parachute system to put you in a slightly
reclined, much more comfortable position.

Options Para-Cushions

Fully adjustable harness N/C
- Included with all Strong Parachutes. Allows wearer
to adjust the harness using seven adjustment points for
a perfect fit. Works very well for clubs where different
people will be using the system, also works well for the
non-pilot seat in two seat airplanes where different
passengers will be carried.

Aerobatic harness
(No Extra Charge)- This harness option moves
the snaps that normally sit on top of the pilots legs,
to your chest, where there is no pressure from a seat
belt. This works best where a Hooker Harness Ratchet
type seat belt is used.

Quick Ejector Snaps
($60.00 each)) - This is the Military type
hardware that can be used in place of the standard B-12
snaps. Works best for former military pilots who have
become accustomed to this type of hardware.

Travel Cushion
($155.00)- Available for the Para-Cushion
Seat Model 304 only. This is a pad that zips on to the
top of the pack. The cushion uses,
"Astronaut Foam" , which
molds to your body, padding and can be made from 2.0" to
4" thick. Works best where the pilot wishes to sit
higher in the cockpit, also provides more comfort.

Capewell Riser Releases
($150.00) - For landing in high wind
conditions allows the pilot release the parachute, to
prevent dragging. Disadvantages- Heavy and expensive
hardware.

Oxygen Pocket ($45.00)
- Pocket built in to the system that a bail out bottle
fits into.

ELT Pocket ($55.00)-
Custom Pocket built into the system for the pilots ELT.

Sheepskin Back pad
($160.00)- Sheepskin pads keep you cool in
the summer and warm in the winter. Installed using the

G-Pad ($85.00)-
An additional pad that attaches to the back pad of any
Para-Cushion. The pad is shaped to snugly fit the pilot
around the sides to give extra support during high G
maneuver.

Custom Monogramming
($45.00)- We can monogram your name, N
number, or anything that room will allow on the front of
your container.

Survival Equipment Pocket ($55.00)
- Small storage space built in to the container,
that a pilot can store personnel items such as a signal
mirror and a small first aid kit.
Capewell Riser Releases
allow the canopy to be disconnected from the
harness. If you fly in areas where high ground winds are
common you may want to consider this option. Capewells will
allow you to release the canopy to avoid being drug across
the ground after landing.
 Quick
Ejectors - slick - allow for fast, easy,
two finger disconnection of the harness attach
points. Used exclusively by all the military
aviators, this release will release with two fingers
even under a load. Seat parachute buyers this is a
must option.

B-12 Snaps
come as standard leg strap hardware. Standard
Hardware. Takes both hands to unbuckle. This is the
standard hardware with all Strong parachutes unless
you specify otherwise.
