Recommended Parachutes For Your Aircraft             CHOOSING THE PROPER EMERGENCY PARACHUTE

Softie

SOFTIE Introduction: The pilot emergency parachute systems are designed and manufactured with you, of course with you in mind who else?  Most likely, all you will be doing is sitting or leaning on your SOFTIE for hours on end (unless your in an aerobatic aircraft, then maybe a hour or less).  But in the event that you do need to put our system to use you can use it with full confidence. All SOFTIES are designed, tested, and manufactured beyond the FAA's TSO requirements and provide the maximum in safety, performance, and comfort.  The SOFTIE comes with your choice of our unique "Aerobatic Harness (allows for better adjustments) or a Conventional Harness. The Aerobatic Harness is designed for easier and better adjustments, and to get the leg snap hardware out of your crotch, and out of the middle of your chest. The Conventional Harness comes complete with B-12 snap leg strap hardware and a thread-thru chest adapter. Options for the Conventional Harness are a B-12 snap for the chest strap, Quick Ejector snaps for both chest strap and leg straps, or light weight Thread-Thru leg strap hardware. STANDARD CONVENTIONAL HARNESS

Our conventional harness has a fully adjustable main lift web which permits the harness to be adjusted to fit a wide range of individuals. The harness has connection points on each leg strap and on on the chest strap. The leg straps come standard with Parachute Hardware &  Options connectors. As an option, we offer Thread Thru Adapters or Quick Ejectors on the leg straps. The chest strap comes standard with a Thread Thru Adapter, a Quick Ejector is optional on the chest strap.

AEROBATIC HARNESS

Aerobatic HarnessOur unique crossover style Aerobatic Harness is designed specifically for pilots doing high NEGATIVE G aerobatic maneuvers. The harness is designed so that the legstrap connecting hardware is moved away from the hips where it can dig in and cause pain and discomfort during high negative G aerobatic maneuvers.
By using a unique high strength webbing loop at the hip rather than the normal connecting hardware we are able to eliminate the possibility of the connecting hardware being forced into the pelvic bone (very painful) by the lap belt during high negative G aerobatics.
The aerobatic harness is connected by having the legstrap pass through the loop and then cross over and connect on the opposite side of the harness (see photo).

Customize your SOFTIE with colors to match your aircraft or your own personal taste. Here are some tips on choosing colors:
1) Remember that darker colors hide dirt better
2) Although the container sections labeled 1 & 2 (see the diagram below) can be different colors, it looks much better to make them the same color.

OPTION PHOTOS

Capewell Canopy Releases allow the canopy to be disconnected from the harness. If you fly in areas where high ground winds are common you may want to consider this option. Capewells will allow you to release the canopy to avoid being drug across the ground after landing.
NOTE: The harness main lift web is non-adjustable when Capewells are installed.
Capewell Harness Option: $275.00

B-12 Snaps come as standard leg strap hardware on all Softies.

No additional charge for B 12 Snaps Option, but to add a B-12 for the chest strap , please add $35.00

Thread Thru Adaptors are the flattest and lightest of the connectors we offer. For a pilot that is interested in minimizing weight and bulk, thread thru adaptors are an excellent choice.
No additional charge for Thread Thru Option
Quick Ejectors allow for fast, easy, two finger disconnection of the harness attach points. Quick ejectors work under a load.
Quick Ejector Each: $50.00
