Designed primarily for sport skydiving, the "galaxy" features:

- a newly designed screw on lens that can be replaced by its owner,
- a large 2" dial face,
- increased size and thickness of the numbers for ease of reading,
- engraved serial number,
- 1" thick robust aluminum casing available in a variety of colors,
- a sturdy hand mount

Altimaster has been the leading skydiving altimeter for nearly 50 years, it has remained in that position due to it's quality and a policy of ongoing development to ensure that the Altimaster altimeter reflects the needs of modern skydiving. 

The galaxy has an altitude range of 18,000 feet MSL, marked in 250 foot increments. The face of the galaxy is highlighted with a yellow caution and red warning arc that starts at 3,000 feet. The galaxy contains a durable mechanism made from temperature compensating metals for minimal friction and precision accuracy.

The galaxy can be comfortably worn with a hand mount or a Velcro wrist mount band that fits to, or can be mounted upon any parachutist's glove. The complete instrument, with hand mount, weighs 5.8 oz.

MILITARY SPECIAL OPERATION ALTIMETERS

Original Military Altimaster Models

The traditional range of military altimeters are based on the original Altimaster II altimeter, with the addition of a battery box and lights for night use. All models operate to a maximum altitude of 30,000'.

The lights are powered by two AA size batteries.

ALTIMASTER II

The the very first of altimeters made for the skydiver. The face reads up to 12,000' at 1000' increments. The needle will rotate 1 1/2 times to go to 18,000 feet. Very rugged, 10 year warrantee. Can be mounted on Velcro Wrist Strap or Chest Pillow Mount.  Always in stock. $185.00 Plus Shipping

Light attachment for Altimaster II and  military   lighted models  
The Altimaster II light attachment fits around the lens and holds one or two (user choice) chemical light sticks against the edge of the lens. The face is evenly illuminated.

military lighted models is available for the original military Altimaster models. This attachment secures a small chemlight around the periphery of the lens and provides a backup light source.

We recommend that the attachment is fitted to the right side of the altimeter to illuminate the 0-6000ft sectors.

The attachment requires the use of at least one U bracket (supplied separately)

Screws are supplied to for attachment to either Altimaster II or the thicker military lighted models
